Again, I think focusing on extremists in Israel is a red herring. I think most objective thinkers see that Israel is an open society. They have a free press. They have a parliament that fights with each other. Considering they are under daily seige, this is remarkable. They are not perfect. They have many problems.

Given the level of fear here after 9/11, I don't think the US would allow the kind of debate and rhetoric on both sides as Israel does.

You do know that there is a peace movement in Israel? You also must know that there is a fairly large number that wants to give everything back to the Palestinians.

You have a wide range of opinions. It's a common expression that 2 Jews have 3 opinions.

I guess what I am getting at is that your posts tend to compare Israel and the terror groups. I don't see the why you make the effort.

Israel hates killing civilians. They know that in the long run peace is the only way. As strong as they may be, they cannot continue to dodge the crazed terror bullet.

Do you know the size of Israel? Unless they can erect a force field around this tiny strip of land, they need peace or an Island where they can put nukes for a second strike.

This is all common sense. The terrorists don't allow for logic or common sense.
