Here are two 5M TRIN charts

a) from Tradestation 7 (which uses data from Tradestation)

b) eSignal

As you'll see, they are different. Some bars later in the day deliver the same values - I suspect the TS version is filtered right after the open.

I don't use TRIN much other than to note whether it is trending up or down. I've used both the esignal and Tradestation data for some time now and find either version meets my needs.

EDIT: eSignal lists the update frequency for their market stats and indexes.

TICK - 6 seconds
TRIN - 6 seconds

Nasdaq TICK and TRIN are every 30 seconds.
