JF, So you condemn Kerry for using his superior Vietnam era record

There is a huge difference between the way you are representing his Vietnam record and the way he is representing it. The fact that he wants to run away from his anti-war actions proves that he is not confident in defending them. It all makes sense when you realize that it's all about image to him, and that his "convictions" are but temporary illusions to pass onto his supporters of the moment.

you think it's OK for Bush to attack every vote that Kerry made, regardless of the motivation? To brand him a fliper? Do you think that's honest and accurate?

Kerry's own contradictory record speaks for itself. The more Kerry tries to hide it, the more he's asking for it to be brought out into the light. It's hypocritical to call for honesty from the Bush adminstration regarding the path to the Iraq war, but not demand the same honesty from Kerry regarding his entire voting record.

So far, the negative ads are all on the Bush side. Kerry, again so far, is the one taking the high road.

Sometimes I wonder why our views of reality differ so much. There hasn't been a campaign rally, speech, or interview where Kerry neglects to blame Bush for something, anything. And there's a good reason for it, too (#reply-19827842), since he knows he's winning more votes against Bush than for himself.

John, it HAS to change. Unfortunately, negative campaigning works. People always seem to be one sound byte away from the truth.

Remember the WMDs........people still believe Iraq had them and we found them!
