we went to war using it as justification for some ideological fever about imposing democracy on Iraq.

How does someone "impose" democracy?

Do we force the people to vote for their governmental leaders?

Do we force the people to take charge of their lives and futures?

Do we force the people to voice their opinions?

Do we force the people to create hundreds of newspapers?

You have a seriously dysfunctional logic if you believe democracy is something that is "imposed"..

It is something that is UNLEASHED..

Now what side are you on?

If you're referring to stuff like Anthrax, maybe this is true, but if you're referring specifically to Anthrax, its shelf-life is decades. (American Scientist journal reports up to 100 years in weaponized form, Jan. 2001)

"Biological warfare agents like anthrax have a shelf-life of a few months under ideal conditions."

re: Sarin. Material like Sarin, may be short-lived. Actual Sarin weapons were short-lived, as delivered in a unitary weapon (simplistically: "pre-mixed") during the Iran-Iraq conflict. Iraqi scientists later learned, however, that a binary delivery (and use of stabilizing agents) increased the shelf-life considerably. "Binary" meaning you mix the precursor materials as needed, pre-launch or even in-flight.

"CW agents like Sarin is useless after three years."
