Secret Service questions student on drawings

You have to wonder how it is that, under supposedly heightened security levels, the secret service even have time to run around investigating school children's drawings. Haven't they got better things to occupy their time? The whole situation in the states has become absurd.

Re: the story which I posted about the couple in NYC. What's very interesting is that the story appeared in the Ottawa newspaper. Ottawa is the center of Canadian politics, and the city where our members of parliament and senators reside when parliament is in session. That story is now common knowledge to every politician in Canada.

Side note to the above: Canadians are currently being harangued by the U.S. to support Bush's missile defence shield. I can tell you right now that it is grossly unpopular up here... basically, I have yet to speak to even one person who is even remotely in favour of approving Canada's participation. In fact, I think there was a poll awhile back and about 80% of Canadians oppose it. If you talk to anyone up here about it, they adamantly oppose it. The growing frequency of occurrences such as the incident described in the NYC story only serve to harden our resolve against going along with plans such as the missile shield. People across the country are already sending a strong message to our Prime Minister that we don't want any part of this imbecilic misadventure. Further, why in hell should we, when even so-called U.S. "experts" have openly stated that Canada will, in all likelihood, end up being a "buffer zone" upon which maimed missiles will fall? Why bother to participate in a ridiculous project in which your role is to provide a No Man's Land for some other country? It makes absolutely no sense and further convinces Canadians that some people's heads are bloated with "big ideas" but contain precious little in the way of brains.
