I agree with the two scenarios, I have posted here previously that I think this cycle will peter out earlier than most expect, so put me in first scenario camp, although contraction may not occur until the 2nd half of 2005, thus I thought, and kinda still do, that the semis can be constructive longs though summer 2004. Certianly AMAT and LRCX management have stated this is the "early stages" and they could prove to be right, they are much "closer" to the action than I. A-M-S
