Lets look at your "Special Charts" list on your web site:geocities.com Symbol Last Nick's Net Net % $10,000 initial position SNDK 25.75 25.85 -0.1 -0.39% 388 $(38.83) NVLS 29.8 33.76 -3.96 -11.73% 336 $(1,328.86) BLDP 10.69 11.64 -0.95 -8.16% 935 $(888.68) GTW 5.45 4.74 0.71 14.98% 1835 $1,302.75 BRCD 5.9 6.64 -0.74 -11.14% 1695 $(1,254.24) AMCC 5.15 7.31 -2.16 -29.55% 1942 $(4,194.17) TLAB 9.51 9.76 -0.25 -2.56% 1052 $(262.88) CHKP 24.73 20.43 4.3 21.05% 404 $1,738.78 BCE 26.55 28.85 -2.3 -7.97% 377 $(866.29) 143.53 148.98 -5.45 -3.66% 90000 $(5,792.43) Realistic Loss -6.44% The above shows a mere -3.66% loss when averaging declines, but clearly that's not very realistic. Assigning each position an equal size we come up with a more realistic figure of -6.44%. Its a good thing you had the two winners in that sorry mess, or your loss approaches 10%. But the mere loss is not my real issue with this list. I fear your FIZZ is leaking somewhere, causing your program trading analysis engine (your head?) to fail in predictably unpredictable ways. Its not like there were not plenty of clues. NVLS trendvue.com You'd be whole still if only bought nearer the low. No reason to be long from Feb 17 that's for sure. BRCD trendvue.com has been on the fast train south. Measured move plus failure to hold any support suggest it will add to your losses. AMCC trendvue.com Yah had a chance to get whole but airy fairy talk must be getting in the way. Better hope for a turn around in the next 1-2 days or the odds of much lower start to increase. And what's this about you getting long on a Saturday anyway? You seem to do it frequently. I'll give you the benefit of doubt and assume you have thick typing fingers. Just in case you need a reminder, here's a snap of your web page showing your "special charts" listing:trendvue.com Only in Canada, eh? BCE tried to do its thing but failed shortly after your entry and provided plenty of opportunities for you to get out close to whole. Too late now... BCE trendvue.com CHKP Yeah, you got one right. Hoorah!trendvue.com But, will you exit when its appropriate or not, that is the question. TLAB - you won / lost / won / lost for a long time, then suddenly marginally profitable and now... not.trendvue.com Better hope TLAB finds some support or it might decide to revisit 8. The purpose of this note is to set the context for a serious question - where do you "reset" your view if you are wrong? Down 10%? Down 20%? Down 30%? And why, since you seem to reference only the DOW, do you invest only in non-DOW Technology stocks? And very seriously, do you even trade these stocks? So many things do not compute. Perhaps you should head back into the shop... (and chief, I'm not dissin' anyone... these are serious questions!)
