Bombardier Wins Order From the State Railway of Thailand
For Computer-Based Interlocking Systems

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--MAY 10, 2004 - 10:14 ET
(CCNMatthews - May 10, 2004) - Bombardier
Transportation has received a $70-million US order (2.8 billion
Thai Baht/58 million Euros/ 39 million Pounds Sterling) from the
State Railway of Thailand to supply and install a INTERFLO(i)
solution, consisting of EBI(i) Lock 950 computer-based
interlocking systems, wayside equipment and associated
communication systems on all four new routes into and out of
Bangkok. The four mainline routes are the Northern, North
Eastern, Southern and Eastern and cover, in three projects, a
total of 174 kilometres of double and triple track and 33
stations.

Javier Rion, President of Rail Control Solutions, Bombardier
Transportation said: "One of Bombardier's main signalling
engineering and product development centres is located in
Bangkok, where some 80 highly trained engineers work in close
cooperation with our other engineering teams around the world to
provide the highest quality and most updated signalling
products." He added: "This new order reflects the international
market's confidence in our systems and reinforces our position in
Thailand."

Bombardier's EBI Lock has been a leading computer-based
interlocking technology in the market since 1978 when it was
first installed in Sweden. Still in operation today, 25 years
later, this system meets the highest reliability, safety and
efficiency - levels. The latest generation has a modular design,
offering high flexibility and adaptability to different
operational principles. With around 400 units installed in 21
countries worldwide, it meets the broad range of requirements and
exceeds quality and reliability standards of about 30 customers
globally. All in all Bombardier's computer-based interlockings
are installed in 25 countries around the world, from the Baltic
region to Scandinavia, Central Europe and Asia.

Bombardier Transportation's Rail Control Solutions portfolio
covers the whole range of mass transit solutions through
CITYFLO(i) from manual to fully automatic systems, as well as
communication-based systems, and INTERFLO mainline solutions from
conventional systems to ERTMS level 2 systems. Our solutions
embrace a complete palette of wayside and onboard products.

Bombardier Flexjet Europe Launches the Transatlantic
Express

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND--MAY 25, 2004 - 10:12 ET
(CCNMatthews - May 25, 2004) - EBACE 2004

New service offers fastest transatlantic speed since Concorde;
increased airfield access

Bombardier Aerospace today launched the Bombardier Transatlantic
Express(i), the world's first fixed-price business jet charter
service between Western Europe and North America.

The new service - which utilizes the high-speed, ultra long-range
Bombardier Global Express business jet - will establish a new
speed standard by connecting North America and Europe faster than
any other civil aircraft since the Concorde.

The Bombardier Transatlantic Express offers return trips between
any city in Western Europe and the U.S. Eastern coast for a fixed
price. The service is scheduled to begin operations in summer
2004 and will be operated through Bombardier Flexjet Europe,
headquartered in London, U.K.

"Following the Concorde's retirement last year, we received an
overwhelming demand to develop a superior solution to cross the
Atlantic faster than today's scheduled services," said Judith
Moreton, managing director, Bombardier Flexjet Europe. "Our
solution is the Bombardier Transatlantic Express which offers
executive flights at a fixed cost, superior speed and unmatched
flexibility.

"Our solution is ideal because, unlike other transatlantic
business jet travel programs where customers must purchase an
aircraft share, this service is offered 'by the flight' and is
available to anyone. This is a straightforward, simple program."

Superior speed, superior access

Designed to fly at speeds up to Mach 0.89 (520 mph; 950 km/h),
the Bombardier Global Express can transport passengers from New
York to virtually any European city, or from London to most major
cities in the eastern and central United States faster than any
large business jet. Its flying time is approximately 36 minutes
faster than its closest competitor, the Falcon 900EX and
approximately 44 minutes faster than the Gulfstream G550.

In addition, unlike scheduled business jet services currently
offered by some airlines, the Bombardier Global Express business
jet also provides access to a significantly larger number of
airfields, so passengers arrive and depart closer to their final
destinations. The Bombardier Transatlantic Express service, for
example has access to six airports in the London area, three in
Paris, and six in greater New York.

The ultimate service

In addition to superior value, speed and flexibility, Bombardier
Transatlantic Express service customers will enjoy enhanced
service including:

- Complimentary limousine service/executive transport provided
both to and from the airport of choice in Europe and the U.S.;

- VIP check-in, including fast track through personal security
and passport control, provided at a choice of over 500 airports
across Europe;

- Luxurious cabin environment with seating for up to 10
passengers and VIP in-flight, personalized service:

- Freshly prepared three-course meal at their convenience, and
snack service throughout the flight;

- Full beverage service including champagne and fine wines;

- Personal DVD players and interactive skymap routing; and

- In-seat power points for computer laptop and optional satellite
phone service.
