Mr. Wolfowitz faced some tough questioning from the House Appropriations Committee's republicans and democrats last week.

He didn't seem bothered by it though. On one point, Wolfowitz seemed to be saying that under no circumstances will Gen. Sinshecki be right about how many troops are needed in Iraq.

In addition to the $50 billion plus that is not in the budget request, it appears another $4 to $5 billion is needed and another several hundred million a month for an additional 20,000 soldiers....

We'll see if they can put off the supplemental request until after the election.

Debt and spend, debt and spend, debt and spend, debt and spend . . . .

That be the GOP.
