A bit off the subject, but the Japanese were up to some pretty interesting things towards the end, according to stuff I've seen on the History Channel. They were working on a long range 4 engine bomber. They were also pretty close to launching big subs capable of carrying sea planes to take out the Panama Canal. I don't know what they had picked up from Germany towards development of the bomb.
