Area 51,

Do you pay the least bit of attention to the fact that this is silly propaganda? The comment about ice cream is just insane. There is little danger from the looting of the one small yellow cake stockpile in the center of Iraq causing radiation sickness except to a handful of people who used the plastic drums containing the uranium ore for water storage.

However, there is a vast danger to the food-chain in Iraq from the licentious and hideous use of Depleted Uranium munitions in the First Gulf War, and now dramatically more so since March, 2003.

You really ought to take a look at the literature on DU. It is fairly certain that it is part of the reason that 39% of U.S. soldiers returning to the U.S. from Gulf War I in 1991 are now considered disabled by the Pentagon and the VA. This compares with 5% of World War II veterans who were declared disabled after that war.

And that is only talking about those who have had a limited exposure to DU dust, which is now ubiquitous in many parts of Iraq. The native population is already suffering hideous cancers, birth defects and more. And the worst is yet to come from the barbarous war crimes of the Pentagon, inasmuch as radiation poisoning is a cumulative killer.
