If you were of draft age then, you know that members of the National Guard at the time were ALL avoiding Vietnam, most of them children of the priveliged. Members of the regular forces called them "shitheads" as a nickname. The National Guard wasn't supporting the regular services at the time, and were in place in case the commies came over the pole, to defend the homeland. One of my best friends went, as a conceintious objector non-combatant medic. He said stuff similar to John Kerry when he came back. You won't get the reference, but I see Bush as the "Jerri Blank" of Presidents.
