Emile, it does not appear to me in His answer that Jesus abused the disciples of any false notion of the Kingdom belonging to the nation of Israel. They asked about a time (to restore the kingdom to Israel), and Jesus said they were not to know the time. Then, He moved to their current instructions. Here is His answer in full (NASB): He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority; but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
