The DNC was obsessed with Bush's National Guard
and medical records for months.

What did they have to do with anything?

Besides, Kerry walked right into that medals
wall and created the problem himself.
He should have taken a position and
stuck with it, right or wrong. Instead,
he wanted people who care about medals to think he
retained them and others to think he tossed them
in a grand protest gesture. Whatever was
politically expedient at the time.

When confronted with the inconsistencies on Monday,
his first impulse was to attack Bush.

That's the kind of guy he is.
That's why it's relevant.
