Any approval process for an LNG facility will bring the full scope of industrial accidents related to gas transmission into the public record. After a full disclosure, I'm confident LNG facilities will never be approved without a large exclusion zone.

Louisiana might be an exception because of corruption in the state government.

When your drug euphoria wears off you may wish to call up PG&E and ask them for a list of fatal accidents involving their main gas trunk-line from Canada. Maybe they'll disclose all to you if you tell them their credibility is at risk in your eyes.

I suspect they'll just hang up on you as they do with all crank callers.
