It will on the new site, as I do have a routine there for bringing up a post by subject number and intra-thread message number. Converting the "talk.techstocks.com/~wsapi" format to the new format when the message is displayed is but one of SEVERAL message-display modifications still pending. Some are done, but the list of ones remaining to be done is far larger. In fact, I'm currently tackling the problem of "weird" ASCII characters not displaying correctly, whether I use UTF-8 or the default charset. I'll probably have to resort to several lines of replace() and regexp() functions at message-display time, which I really hate doing in the most frequently used routine on the site, but I'm doing it that way on iHub and it still manages to keep up.

For a good example compare the headers of these two versions of the same subject:

Subject 34445

dev.siliconinvestor.com

If anyone's got any ideas of how I can address this with the character set rather than a bunch of replace() functions, I'm all ears.
