It didn't come from either movie. It came from the Calley hearings.

More rightwing smear tactics, trying to talk about atrocities in Vietnam not being true, and at the same time accusing Kerry of taking part in them.

This kind of thing has been going on for years versus Kerry. JK had the nerve, the guts and honesty to ADMIT that soldiers were driven to these gut-wrenchingly horrible choices in Vietnam as evidence the war was out of control. Now the chickenhawks on the right (who never served in combat) are trying to smear Kerry the war hero with that which he was honest enough to talk about.

Kerry's helped to end that crazy war and saved thousands of lives. Bravo JK and other vets and war heros who dared to tell it like it was.
