Are you saying the US did not practice brutal methods in fighting Germany and Japan?

Practiced more brutal methods? No.

Practice SOME of the same methods developed by the Nazis and Japanese on a far larger scale.. Damn right!!

In case you don't know your history, read about Guernica, where the German's introduced the concept of terror bombing for the purpose of wiping out an entire city.

pbs.org

The demolition of German cities, and killing 200,000 Japan civilians per night in Japan was not brutal?

Would you have preferred that we invade the Japanese home islands and incur upward of a million casualities, and potentially 10 million Japanese casualties.

No...I have no problem about the nuclear bombings of Japan. The historical fact is that it almost assuredly saved hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of casualities on both sides.

War is a brutal thing Sarmad.. And always has been.. Very little about killing one another can be refined into something civilized...

But when someone attacks you with a knife, you fight back with a gun.. If they attack you with a gun, you use a cannon.. etc..

The dissolution of the Soviet Union had nothing to do with the US.M

Yeah.. ok.. believe whatever you want to believe Sarmad.. One of these days you'll figure it out..

Perestroika because they wanted to try "communism with a human face" or something like that.

Really now.. a human face? I thought communism was all about the proletarian humanity rising up and controlling the means of production??

It had nothing to do with the fact that the Soviet Union was being bankrupted in a major arms race it couldn't pay for, had just been severely defeated in Afghanistan, and eastern Europe had pulled itself away from the clenches of the Kremlin??

I didn't. But so what ? France is a sovereign country. Is it one of God's commandments that no one but the US should decide who has what weapons ?

So I guess you wouldn't mind the US providing nuclear weapons to whatever nation we choose? (and don't say Israel because they developed their own nukes).

Maybe you need to do a bit more reading..

It's helpful to building sufficient credibility so that you can persuasively discuss a topic..

As it stands, you're posts seem full of conspiracies, dysfunctional logic, and the belief that US is the only nation that has any responsibility for what occurs in the world..
