That isn't true, you can short without being on margin. >> I just copied and pasted from bids post and said most all my trading accounts are margin accounts.....I really have no clue as to whether you have to have a margin acct to short, as I dont short....is it a law? Or up to the discretion of the institution as to whether they let you short with or without a margin account? Man, I gotta get some work done <g>
