Hawk, you're raising the issues of whether we were "honestly fooled" and whether, if we were, our bad information justified our invasion and occupation.

There is NO DOUBT that we were honestly fooled. And so was EVERY OTHER INTELLIGENCE AGENCY belonging to the UN..

Don't you think that France and Russia, had they possessed exculpatory evidence that substantiated Saddam's claims of having destroyed all WMDs, would have presented such compelling evidence in order to protect their interests?

But they couldn't, so they didn't. They acknowledged that the odds were in favor of Saddam possessing those WMDs, but they disagreed with using military means to force his compliance.

And now we know why... $$$$$$ in their politicians pockets from those lucrative oil allocations..

It's not just about honesty in leadership, it's also about competency in leadership.

You're really getting off topic here in your anti-bush tirade.. Face it.. Kerry has an greater record of being disingenuous in his Senate votes..

He's no angel.. And the very fact that he's presenting himself as a pawn of these corrupt foreign leaders who were involved in the oil for food scandal, and not enforcing 17 different UN resolutions is hardly a statement of credibility..

Do you really think that foreign leaders will step in and support a Kerry administration in Iraq any more than they do a Bush one??

Highly unlikely...

Face it, none of them want to die to save, what they perceive as a bunch of sub-humans...

Look at how they treat Arabs in Europe (and vice versa).. Do you really think they are prepared to risk their lives for them??

Sometimes I wonder IF WE'RE WILLING to do so...

But if we don't do it now, we're going to be forced to do it later on... And a good portion of those young muslims are going to die in the process after being persuaded to become martyrs and spread the Jihad to the West...

But I guess you don't care about that.
