You are 100% right,... and very wise,...

The program trading architects have so much control on this stock market, right now, that they can maneuver the traders around at will, forcing them to get whipsawed, hence, generate commissions, then use the commissions to fund their Program Trading Research & Development Dept's to get faster, which in-turn generates more whipsawing, more commissions and more R&D,.... and then around again,...
