Kerry now leads Bush despite the most expensive GOP negative ad campaign ever launched. These negative and dishonest ads have helped pull Bush's approval ratings down a record 46%, while 55% see the US as on the wrong track. That last figure is particularly damaging to the Cheney-Bush hopes for re-election. Very difficult to recover from that. Meanwhile Kerry is nailing Bush on real issues, from the environment to jobs to homeland security.
