Equity funds report net cash inflows totaling $1.6 billion in the week ended April 28 with 39% going to funds investing in Domestic Securities versus 64% last week;
International and Global Equity funds report inflows to Developed sectors and outflows from Emerging Markets funds (Asia, Latin America). Japan funds report net inflows of $429 million with iShares MSCI Japan Index fund reporting inflows totaling $424 million;
Real Estate funds report net cash outflows of -$183 million, the fourth consecutive week of outflows from the sector;
Financial/Banking funds report the seventh consecutive week of outflows -($63 million);
Taxable Bond funds report net cash outflows totaling -$471 million with Government Bond funds investing in mortgage-backed securities reporting outflows of -$505 million and Corporate Bond funds investing in High Yield securities reporting outflows totaling
-$246 million;
Fewer High Yield funds report inflows this week than any week since 8/13/03;
Money Market funds report outflows of -$19.3 billion;
Municipal Bond funds report outflows totaling -$513 million.
