Guess you don't have your kid fighting in Iraq

You have no idea what my life is like and what my children are doing.

I'll keep it that way, thank you very much.

goodbye

If we were the Americans of our ideals, and we are, many of us, we would value freedom & justice over money & lies, and we would hand Iraq over to the Iraqi leader that can lead them -- whoever he will be -- out of their wilderness. And then we'd get the f. out of their country, knowing that the Iraqis will worship us.
But no. Looks like we're there just like the Israelis in the West Bank. This war is contrary to our nature. We're not exporting Democracy, people. We're occupying. That's what it looks like, walks like, & sounds like. Who the f. is running our country?

"Guess you don't have your kid fighting in Iraq for..."

It is my hope that the American kids fighting in Iraq have been educated about the monstrous injustice of Saddam's Regime... which murdered, tortured, and oppressed millions, and which boldly announced goals of world domination. That they also realize Iraq has become a magnet for terrorists.

We have an all volunteer military as far as I know. They deserve credit for their choice of standing up to injustice, laying their priveledged lives on the line as a sacrifice, and possibly making the ultimate sacrifice. God willing their efforts will help to move the diverse people of the world to a more civilized and decent coexistence.

The battle lines have been drawn between civilized society and those who would tyrannize and oppress through heinous barbarism like the terrorists and the cultures they promote. You can say that Bush drew the lines or OBL or Saddam or dozens of other key world statistitions and their followers. Fact is, the entire aware world is involved and Like it or not the front line is now being laid out in Iraq...time to come up to speed dude.

You can deal with it or ignore and neglect the dynamics hoping they just go away. Ever seen what happens to naughty deglected children. They become little monsters and when they grow up heinous criminals. If too many of us do that, we will all be answering to one dictatorial authoritarian when the dust settles. I like my freedom to vote and choose and come and go very much. Thanks to the young soldiers who have been willing to protect that freedom for the last few centuries, I still have it.
