I'll agree with you there.

I have never agreed that Clinton raised the economy. Our government cannot raise the economy only screw it up.

IMHO it was:

1) the result of increased efficiencies due to computers. I was able to start a business without a secretary because of a little device called the phone machine.

2) a long period of declining energy prices. I couldn't believe that Clinton did not react to the doubling of energy prices. The stock market could though taking a dive what? about 2 months later? And still no coherent energy policy from the Bush Admin. Although it's clear there will be none.

And soon we will be paying the bills for this war in inflation.
