Your post is flawed.

You wrote: "If America had ignored those incidents and turn the other cheek to be hit again"

Fallacy alert: straw man.

Since nobody has ever said we ignore 9/11, exactly who are you writing about?

Yep, nobody. Your argument is specious.

Yes the world is a safer place than it was at the time of 9/11. The proof is in what happens on our own territory---America.

The terrorists have forced us to choose between liberty and security. They said we could not have both. Bush agreed with them and said that he would take out liberties away to win security. IMO, winning the war against terrorism is when we can restore both at the same time. Right now we do not have liberty nor security.

<I.We took the hit on the East coast and I don't want to see that devastation ever again here.
Don't understand what you are trying to convey. Which American wants to see that devastation again. I know of none who wants to see that happen again.

And, yes as long as there is the concept of terroism and war we will regretfully have people dieing in battle.
That logic is flawed and convoluted. The smart way to fight the war is to kill the enemy without any losses. Outsmart them, outfox them.

If you or Kerry have a recipe for making this a world free of war,...
The recipe is already there and it has not been adopted by Bush. Number one, treat it as a law and order problem where you get all the intelligence (which I also consider as the law and order arm) agencies of the world together. These agencies identify the terror cells and also the terror network. Once identified move in very swiftly to neutralize the cells and destroy the network. The terrorists around the world are united and have a very good network between themselves. The problem is Bush who does not belive in world unity. Hence he will not succeed and people will continue to die for as long as he does does not abandon his beliefs. That is why it is time to abandon Bush.

The warning sighs for Bush are already there. He should not be running neck and neck with Kerry and should be ahead in the polls significantly. The support that he is getting is to enable him to pull this nation out of the morass. Come August/September, if he fails to establish stability in the region and does not pull the troops out, it will be considered a failure of his policies. And the people will see that region as the blossoming field of terrorism.
