IF you think Kerry is not gaffe prone, you're
not listening carefully.

OTOH, perhaps his problem is not so much gaffes
per se, as an inability to put forth a
simple sentence, without meandering dependent
clauses. The reason he does that, I think, is
twofold: (1) he's not sure where he will land
until the end of the sentence and (2) he wants
to have plausible deniability later for whatever
he said.<g>
