Amy, You appeal to the intrinsic desire to solve an analytical problem. But the absolute last thing you do, is to force a hightech engineer to do something they don't want to do at all.

I guarantee you that in a socialist system with high taxes, you'll be squashing the intrinsic desire for anyone to push ahead, given that the government will be taking most of the fruits of their labor and doling it out to everyone else regardless of whether they have that desire or not. It does not foster better a work ethic and a greater desire to serve society. Instead, those values become part of the system, which itself is cold and can be taken advantage of. And the greedy will indeed take advantage of it, by either getting the benefits without working their fair share, or being in control of that system itself.


Yes......Germany and Sweden are withering on the vine. I'm sure they'll be third world in 5 years or less. They'll have to sell their Mercedes, Beamers and Volvos to raise cash. ;~)
