That doesn't seem to be policy any more. When my grandparents came to this country, they took pride in being accepted and took even greater pride in becoming a productive part of their new country.....that is, they became Canadian. Unfortunately, decades of liberalism has created a whole myriad of hyphenated Canadians and political correctness has slowly torn away the fabric that bound this country together. Our differences used to make us unique and somewhat interesting to those different from us but now our differences seem to be the result of one kind of hurt or another......go figure
