All nations DO behave in their own self-interest. No one can argue that, so why pick on the US? Granted, leaders change potentially every 4 years, but basically that has been true down the line. In a perfect world, we would all praise and cuddle each other, mind our own business, be responsible only for ourselves. But we do not live in a perfect world, nor will we ever.

I get the idea you would have us out of Iraq, out of the Middle East, out of....what? What would have happened had we stayed out of WWII, let the Japanese attack at will, ditto Germany? Fight a defensive battle when they came to our shores?
