This is an astute observation. The American people's will to fight in WW2 was a hell of a lot stronger than it is now to fight in Iraq. That's the primary problem with the Iraq war, it cannot be won because we lack the will.

But pointing out this difference in will, isn't going to shame people into wanting to fight anymore than pointing out the differences in the Administration's various reasons for why we should fight will shame them into honorably admitting that we had no real reason for going in.
