Well Neocon, I guess we all have different life experiences. I read, listen and think critically. If something doesn't add up, I don't care who says it or what their reputation is. In particular when Rumsfeld, Rice, Kerry, Cheney, Powell, or anyone else who is clearly trying to promote their own agenda, states facts or opinion, I'm very skeptical. You can "trust" their superior knowledge and insight if you wish. Me, I'll just go one weighing all the facts and views available to me. I've never been a disciple personality and, if I had been, I'd have been dead 3 decades ago.

One thing I've learned from this exchange; I now understand the source of your often seemingly blind adherence to the Bush party line. I had wondered about that because you seem to be a person with the capacity for independent thought but I just couldn't seem to find evidence of it in your posts.

Obviously, considering the amount of intelligence which is not universally available, and the amount of expertise involved in matters like this, I am dependent on judgments about the trustworthiness of sources to have any kind of valid opinion about these matters whatsoever.......

Excellent response. Thanks.
