I am a fiscal conservative Republican. That is one of the reasons I am supporting Kerry and opposing the "drunken sailor" spending Bush.

Those are McCain's words about Bush's profligate spending, but I think it is unfair to real sailors!

Demnocrats are more fiscally conservative than the neocon GOP, much more so. That fact has been echoed even on rightwing talk radio. Hard to believe, but I heard Limbaugh actually tell the truth once. He told a listener than Kerry couldn't possibly spend more than Bush, that no one could. And it's not just the over-spending it's the under-taxing of those who can afford it. The result is red ink for as far as the eye can see just as baby boomers are starting to retire. Huge problem. Very irresponsisble, unfair and corrupt.
