If the Iraqis had been sure that they were going to be fighting the US, they undoubtedly would have had a lot more ordnance. Maybe they would have kept their WMDs.

So you're saying that all of that ordnance was purchased from Russia and France AFTER Desert Storm??

That would be quite a discovery, now wouldn't it?

Can you document that? After all, if true, then it would be clear evidence that both Russia and France were more than willing to break UNSC resolutions about conducting unauthorized trade with Iraq.

But if you're wrong, then you're saying that Saddam was preparing to attack the US at some point. Because the US was not threatening Iraq UNTIL they invaded Kuwait..

And if they weren't going to attack the US, why else did they need all of that ordnance?

Perhaps so Saddam could live up to his name, Hussein the Crusher?
