So it's not BOTH meanings. And it seems the farsi non-sense has disappeared also. That first author was just one of those people who make things up. They're everywhere. Anyway, collide, as in a car collision, is the closest meaning. And "being shocked", as "in he was shocked by the news of the defeat", is another meaning.
