As I wrote earlier, GDP growth has been solid, although a significant portion is due to defense spending.

Here are the last 4 quarters GDP ANNUAL growth rate:
Q2 2003: 3.1%
Q3 2003: 8.2%
Q4 2003: 4.1%
Q1 2004: 4.2%

Those are ANNUAL rates, so the growth is no where near 20%; closer to 4.8%. As I wrote: "That is not bad, but considering the $682 Billion in deficit spending (over last 12 months) and 1% emergency rates, it is worrisome. "
