You sure have a lot of nerve posting to me when you can't even bother to give a straight answer on exactly how Saddam was "our boy"..

Message 20079066

I know I'll be waiting forever for you to tell us exactly how the US purchased all of those Soviet munitions for Saddam so he could become the major power in the region..

Hell, we didn't mind selling US weapons to the Saudis.. Why should we have refrained from selling to Saddam if he was "our boy"??

Or maybe you think the Soviets were buying US equipment and selling it to the Saudis... LOL!!

You certainly seem to have conveniently forgotten about the atrocities Saddam was committing against the Kurds and Shiites, spurring those no-fly zones and regular air patrols to enforce them..

They were "up to" trying to prevent Saddam from using his air force to brutalize his own people... That's what they were "up to"..

What you need to tell us is what France and Russia were "up to"..
