Those situations are a great advertisement for 'leathers, gloves & boots' and knowing when to get on top and use the scooter as a sled..... 'Happiness' can sometimes be a warm, full-coverage Simpson, also...!!! "..Under 70.." is sometimes a good idea, too. Tee hee..... John :-) .

I hit the pavement in a drag race long ago. Tore my elbow up, but had my RN wife to help me. Made me dip it in Tide. Ouch! Drank 2/3 a botle of scotch. Total respect to bike riders who I always ask to sell those mofo's. Our bodies are so fragile. Now me drive bigassed car. Me smarter now.
