Wrong in the sense that when aberrations occur, you see it as the normal activity of the US troops. In this case an abhorrent behavior by individuals that are now being punished for their actions.

You are of the group with a mindset that would have vaccines banned because 1 in 1,000,000 have a negative reactions. Forget the benefit to the many. Forget the number that would die without the vaccine. Point to the relatively few negatives from a positive event and exploit it.

Gadflies like you have a wonderful life. Never do anything yourselves. Never stick your head up high enough regarding something you have done to allow others to identify actual effort as yours…

But watch what others do and complain about how it is all done wrong. You could have done much better. (Never will, but if you did it would be a wonderful thing.) With perfect hindsight, you point out all the wrong turns, completely confident you wouldn’t have made errors.

But we’ll never know. Because people like you are too busy finding fault with others to actually do anything yourself.

I simply believe that the world has reached a point where it is no longer correct to sit and watch evil happening within a country and do nothing. The UN, the world organization that should be responsible is impotent, because many of the member states are ashamed of what happens within their own borders, but something still needs to be done. Maybe the US actions are not perfect. But it’s an attempt.

As my 15 year old daughter (at the time) wrote in a school essay last year:

“People who are protesting against violence should realize the goal of the good should be to minimize violence. It cannot be eliminated from the side of good because the side of evil will always utilize it and this allows them an overwhelming advantage. Eliminating a source of evil by a well placed single shot may save thousands of similar acts against the innocent. Violence and evil will not be eliminated from the world by a group of people sitting around singing peace songs.”
