One of my favorite sources, xymphora, comes to an extraordinary conclusion that there still may be hope for the US.

New Searchable Database Charts Administration Lies; 400 Contradictions Logged in Time for Bush/Cheney Testimony

WASHINGTON - April 29 - The Center for American Progress (CAP) today launched a comprehensive Claim vs. Fact database at claimvfact.org that documents statements from conservatives like President Bush, Vice President Cheney, members of Congress and Fox News personalities and compares those statements to the facts. Each fact is sourced and in many cases includes a web link directly to that source.

As the September 11th Commission questions President Bush and Vice President Cheney about their counterterrorism priorities before the 9/11 attacks, we wanted to alert you to this powerful new tool intended to help journalists, activists and the public compare the Bush administration's claims against well-documented facts.

The database has more than 400 entries and CAP is soliciting more.

CAP encourages submissions of well-documented examples of administration contradictions that are not currently in the database. To submit documentation, visit CAP’s submission page at: tinyurl.com or americanprogress.org

Then again, how about the number of Iraqis who died due to the harshness of the U.S./UK genocidal sanctions regime throughout the 1990s? How many died then?

I complained repeatedly throughout the nineties regarding the US targeting of innocents via the sanctions. I posted the numbers that were available and received no support from you lefties ... oh yeah, your hero was in the Admin then...
