I think it's a systemic problem. Therefore, removing Donald Rumsfield will not fix the system. Besides, President Bush wants him. Who is going to replace Rummy and what guarantee there is that, that person will do a better job than Rummy especially in this hostile situation?
Besides, USA is used to fixing systemic problems. They have been fixing the constitution since the founding fathers made a mess out of Freedom of Speech and all that crap. How many amendments it has went through since then? Maybe its time to completely scrap the Bill of Rights and come up with something better.
This CNN and its instant polling gives the idea that majority rule is a better idea. Why? Is it a good choice if 99.99% of people gives YES vote for drinking poison and go to mass grave? According to CNN it is right thing to do.
