We cannot halt human rights abuses, (even in the US)- we can only work to try to change them over time. I suggest you take a look at the way we deal with our friend China, to see some of the ways one can work to halt human rights abuses, without resorting to war. Judging from the news there are still plenty of human rights abuses in Iraq- of course other perpetrators are doing them, and in some cases they are us.

I hope this was sufficiently interesting. Have a great day, and try to get over your idea that the anti-war types are some monolithic community opposed to doing anything about human rights. We aren't.
