I would not worry about Cheney holding his own. I actually thought that the Cheney-Lieberman "debate" (two guys just overflowing with charisma) was much more informative than the Bush-Gore debates. Two guys who kinda liked each other just sitting around -- Cheney with his hands folded together -- discussing the issues. Aside from the entertainment factor of hearing Al Gore make barnyard noises, the Bush-Gore debates were too stilted.
