The only hope I can see is if the Republicans get control of 60 Senate votes. All that means is the the Republicans get 100% of the pork. The first check through shows you can buy the drugs from on-line pharmacies for the same price without paying $30 for the card. Naturally. Dumb programs bother me more than pork. Pork is just wasteful. Wasteful, but tidy. Simple throwing money down a rathole. Dumb programs have overhead, which slows the economy, and create false hopes and then cynicism. Pork gets spent and then the pain is over with. Dumb programs are eternal.
