<<Bilow? Making sausage?>>

Since today seems to be about food I do have a little tale about making sausage. About 15 years ago I went through a sausage making phase, sausage for the skillet with eggs but also and especially summer sausage for snacks. Beef, pork, venison, goose, even jack rabbit I made into summer sausage.

My cousin and I went on a fishing trip and hired a guide who ate cold Beenie Weenies out of a can. Now I had brought along some summer sausage made from wild goose and pork. Came the afternoon and I pulled out a log and asked who wanted some. Cut the log into thirds. When we were about done eating my cousin asked what I had made it out of. I told him a colt had knocked the lid off the grain bin and had eaten too much grain and foundered so I made the sausage out of his better parts. I turned around to see what was making so much noise and it was the guide leaning over the side of the boat with his finger down his throat.
