We will both support investigations into the killing of civilians by all countries. Let's make an even better deal... Let's NOT investigate any killings.. And we can promote the belief that anyone can do anything they want to do, anywhere, anytime, to whom ever they want... No order... just pure democracy... in the form of unbridled Anarchy...I will accept as true that Iraq murdered many hundreds, possibly two thousand people in Kuwait. Without a doubt that crime should be punished. And how do you go about proposing to do that? You can't punish anyone if you don't have the b*lls to confront, arrest, try, and convict them.. And apparently you didn't endorse doing in the case of Iraq... You just wanted to talk about it...The United states caused the death of three million people in VietNam. And how many people did N. Vietnam kill (or try to kill)? Most of those 3 million were killed while invading S. Vietnam. So I guess your convoluted, dysfunctional logic would suggest that to prevent killing them, we should have let them kill us instead, right??We know, despite the initial attempts to hide it, that Lt William S. Calley, a member of the United States military, murdered 600 unarmed civilians in a ditch in VietNam. Was that a crime or not? Yes, it was a crime. But unfortunately, most of the people involved in that massacre were no longer members of the US military and could not be prosecuted under the Courts-Martial system any longer... There were certainly people who attempted to cover it up.. And probably expedited the discharge of these soldiers to avoid a trial.. But Calley was convicted. And the crime was uncovered.. And it's been a lesson that has hovered over military operations ever since.. Just as the abuses at that Iraqi prison will do the same.. law.umkc.edu But how many crimes perpetrated by other regimes have gone unanswered? As long as countries have a right of Veto that they wield on behalf of their friends, unsc resolutions are just bs crap. Yhe unsc is just a mafia club where the large countries have discussions of how to control the world for their benefit. Well, let's just dissolve it eh, Sarmad? We'll go back to the "old way" of international relations.. Bring back the International law of the jungle and be damned the consequences.. No international laws.. No Geneva convention.. No repercussions for aggression.. Just the biggest and baddest doing whatever they want... Hell, let's bring back imperialism and empires? That's what the Islamists want to do.. And you seem to agree with them.. Hawk
