No, that would be bad, because a gas tax hurts the poorest people the most. They are already the ones paying in blood for the oil.

Bush is the biggest flipper in the history of the White House. Funny how Bushies sometimes attack Kerry for the very things they are most guilty of. Kerry's positions have been very consistent, especially on the big issues.

Compare Bush's campaign and state of the union promises to what he's actually delivered. Except tax cuts for the rich, you'll find he's broken almost every promise or changed his mind. His pledge not to nation build and spread our forces too thin in 2000 was the biggest whopper. But the whole "compassionate" conservative thing was a big lie. Cheney-Bush are the least compassionate leaders we have ever had, especially as it pertains to the serious concerns of average Americans and the environment.
