The GOP falling into a trap attacking Kerry's war record. Not only does Kerry end up winning whatever debate ensues, being a war hero versus an AWOL draft-dodger, both of whom were Yale Skull + Bones with the opportunity to dodge, but Kerry's true heroism becomes illuminated and makes Bush;'s phony "weak on defense" TV ads look like even bigger lies than they are.

Bushies have only scored on one point against Kerry with their 60 million in attack ads, making him sound like a waffler. Only problem is, that's a lie. Kerry is just a moderate who sees the complexities and tries to unite the opposing views into a common sense compromise, and sometimes that shifts with events in the world, like 9-11. This is the kind of leader we need, someone who deals with reality, not some fixed ideological extreme.

Kerry will shake off the "waffler" tag. Then Bush's only argument will be that Kerry is "weak", so then we compare war records. heh heh
