They are protesting a bit too much, given that they buggered Lawrence of Arabia.

Are you supporting the torture tactics adopted by the US and the British military and in the process denigrating the religion of Islam?

Please keep religious hatred off this thread and let us remain focussed on tortures of a political nature such as those committed by our military and of Saddam on his people. None of these were committed in the name of religion and I would hope you would retract that post which is purely hatred of religion.

Please do not bother to respond to this post if it is not to apologize to some of our visitors and posters to this thread who could be from that faith. And furthermore, please cease and desist from bringing such posts of religious hatred to this thread in future.

Thank you

Prior to our invasion, secular Iraq was one of the best places in the Arab world to be a woman. We are allies with several of the worst, including Saudi Arabia. We liberated Kuwait, but didn't bother to insist on women's rights on restoring the Kuwati monarchy - why didn't we insist on democracy THERE?

You are so right there. It's awful what happened but pales when compared to what goes on daily in the Mideast states and in other Jihaddist areas.
