Israeli missiles rip into Gaza building

By Associated Press
Sunday, May 2, 2004

Gaza City, Gaza Strip - After a deadly attack on Jewish settlers, an Israeli helicopter has launched missiles tearing open a building in Gaza City.

The building housed radio stations affiliated with the militant group Hamas and Yasser Arafat's Palestinian political party. The four (new figure) missiles struck the top corner of the building, which was filled with apartments as well as businesses, and screaming women were seen standing on the balconies.

Israeli military sources say the army had attacked a Hamas radio station that had been broadcasting what they called ``incitement.''

Seven people were hurt by shrapnel and glass shards.

The airstrike came just hours after Palestinian gunmen ambushed and killed a pregnant Jewish settler and her four young daughters as they were traveling out of Gaza.
